Our March Ladies’ Meeting was a huge encouragement to the 48 ladies, including two first time guests, who attended.
Thanks go out to Sharon Andrews who did a lovely job decorating the tables with beautiful spring tulips, green place mats and, best of all, spring colored Sixlets candies! Kim Strecker and Janet Coakley presented us with a table-load of delicious food and several fantastic desserts for our enjoyment. Thank you to all three for helping make the evening special.
Vanessa Reagan gave us our devotion using the verse from our February memorization challenge; Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” She used ten different pairs and kinds of shoes to challenge us in our daily “spiritual walk”. For example, when you put on a pair of pumps, they should remind you to be an encourager or to “pump” (edify) someone up. Or, for instance, when wearing your slippers to be careful not to “slip” or cause another person to “slip” in their walk with the Lord. It truly was a challenge for us all.
Concerning our memorization challenge, if you have gotten behind in quoting your verses, it’s never to late to get back on track. As a reminder, the past verses are: January, Psalm 119:133; February, Psalm 37:23; March, Proverbs 4:26; and April’s verse will be Job 23:11. Please see a staff lady to quote your verses or for any other information concerning the verse challenge.
On another note, I’d like to thank Bro. Greg Leeming for heading up the effort to “police” the parking lot and areas around the church during our ladies’ meetings. We really appreciate your service to the ladies in this way. Bro. MW Lawrenz patrolled in March. Thank you Bro. MW!
